You know what's funny...</div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
I spent the past week on vacation thinking that every sink I encountered was HUGE. Oversized. Awkwardly big.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
It wasn't until today (when I got home) that I realized I felt this way because I've been living the past 5 weeks with the tiniest sink you can imagine. It's so small you can't even stick your face under it to get a drink of water. When you wash your hands, you have to be careful not to overflow all over the small countertop and onto the floor. I think it is literally 3" deep.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieCXKuH-jZy9kOvWKeDI1INwM4JptqJEWdA04AiX8KcOdy9l8cO69Jj0t4yLidH2Ema0Okj1qCkSCF-galsaZZye0octPe-HKcbxUulkD6uyK6tqH7hNsO_euQb96KZfNgt8FG3onFozyc/s1600/photo+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieCXKuH-jZy9kOvWKeDI1INwM4JptqJEWdA04AiX8KcOdy9l8cO69Jj0t4yLidH2Ema0Okj1qCkSCF-galsaZZye0octPe-HKcbxUulkD6uyK6tqH7hNsO_euQb96KZfNgt8FG3onFozyc/s1600/photo+1.JPG" height="320" style="cursor: move;" width="240" /></a></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
During my renovations, I gutted the kitchen (sink #2) and tore out the hall bathroom vanity (sink #3). I've been living with teeny tiny little sink #1 as my ONLY sink in the house.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8SuCsd1_Hfigew7l0Xzoh2edED33gMsavpJKNUmWXpFXegcUT76F0-7-Ww6V98DWQgMgE7zLFZc0rgUdtPCtEnqDD6ZvxBMZp0XJVIrL93OS6CODjnUiDPy94S0k7fFvpAPsKcIgvFzI5/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8SuCsd1_Hfigew7l0Xzoh2edED33gMsavpJKNUmWXpFXegcUT76F0-7-Ww6V98DWQgMgE7zLFZc0rgUdtPCtEnqDD6ZvxBMZp0XJVIrL93OS6CODjnUiDPy94S0k7fFvpAPsKcIgvFzI5/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="640" width="640" /></a></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
It's funny how you can so quickly get used to something and begin to think that other things are awkwardly out of size/place because of this. Just a random thought. </center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
By the end of next week I should have all 3 sinks in my house fully functioning. Whatever will I do with all of these sinks!? :) Oh... and I'll be back to share the progress of the kitchen and hall bath (eventually).</center>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It has been a million and one days since my last post. Today, for some reason, I felt like I wanted to blog. Maybe it's the sunshine. Or the iced americano I'm currently drinking. Or the fact that it's June 1st and I'm questioning where the year has gone.</div>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Here's a little update about me:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I've moved.</center>
<center>
A little 2 bedroom/2 bath condo in Lancaster, PA is now where I call home.</center>
<center>
Isn't it cute?</center>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx1CmCYXoG2hTkotmWKa5AQHq_xfhy2aKIwchklnLjD0-gL_TZcqZofMi32REoZuRFfbxtjnaq5S8DPCs6gMv6UGPMno0QkjSfnzfJOQB1aOlEi7NbjRzbqZkoAwaII7Wv5ye4fb5JV2vO/s1600/217552_5.jpg" height="320" width="213" /><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_k4E7ihCNE09foRZ8mQkj2k7nCARs4pKdZ4kKqYkM7zWjj3sK6lq5nM6J7cHR5rsWF6R9LpXOaRyA_zTTPaCsjUwZi5JuZjHcCVJ3yokQfgJTt-su7U_RKLb6PThEKFoW01FACu13QNX4/s1600/217552_8.jpg" height="320" width="212" /></div>
<br />
These are the listing pictures. Not my furniture and stuff. If I showed you pictures of the place now (since I've moved all of my stuff in) you'd question my sanity. It is a construction zone. The hall bathroom is torn up, the kitchen is gutted, the fridge is sitting in the family room. It's cozy but dusty. And it's mine. And it's a work in progress... just like me. As soon as I can take some semi-presentable pictures, I'll share.<br />
<br />

<center>
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
I don't know when my next post will be. But I do plan to post my progress as I turn this adorable little condo into my home. If you know me, you know I'll splatter my personality ALL OVER THE PLACE. Stay tuned. I'm in way over my head... and I love it.</center>

<center style="text-align: left;">
No matter what you drink, you should drink it in a cute mug with an adorable mug cozie. Don't you agree? If you're not into sewing, you can check out my tutorial for <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/01/mug-cozies.html">crocheting a mug cozie</a>. If you're into sewing... let's get started :)</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: x-large;">what you'll need</span></center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9qBBBVX_te6-jTxW4FBWG3ux2NHSUe1eK0PH5To_VEJMu5SzJsaE5a-_2nKK57jRY_p8JgX4omVdVJLhNz4v80G7NXdW8gvthHQfzZYz03-eWzSWYlcuWdwnV8n3eiJWfe88Ip7gW1Ef_/s1600/photo+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9qBBBVX_te6-jTxW4FBWG3ux2NHSUe1eK0PH5To_VEJMu5SzJsaE5a-_2nKK57jRY_p8JgX4omVdVJLhNz4v80G7NXdW8gvthHQfzZYz03-eWzSWYlcuWdwnV8n3eiJWfe88Ip7gW1Ef_/s1600/photo+2.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
main fabric (2 pieces both 11-1/2" x 3-1/2")</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
muslin or other stabilizer (1 piece 11-1/2" x 3-1/2")</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
accent fabric - 2"x8" for tab</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
accent fabric - scrap for heart</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
small piece of velcro</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
pinking sheers</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
[1] Start by layering 1 piece of main fabric on top of your piece of muslin (pin together if you wish). Place your accent fabric heart a little off center on your fabric. Top stitch into place.</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGewSCWoFK1RKFLYINDyKxWqVmiVNy-0b-Pm7uEI-lvhN7Vp3yVaHBoxiMSw7ZzmMFGl0r-2a8MvNVnU0Fjjz5HjRbycCCTzZJ3kxa9LVfhOWrV7IIryq7OkTzFMoG-3HskDyj3zZWYVUG/s1600/photo+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGewSCWoFK1RKFLYINDyKxWqVmiVNy-0b-Pm7uEI-lvhN7Vp3yVaHBoxiMSw7ZzmMFGl0r-2a8MvNVnU0Fjjz5HjRbycCCTzZJ3kxa9LVfhOWrV7IIryq7OkTzFMoG-3HskDyj3zZWYVUG/s1600/photo+3.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
[2] Next, take your 2"x8" accent piece and fold it in half (wrong sides together). Place your velcro right under the crease, unfold your fabric & stitch it into place. Once secured, fold your fabric again (wrong sides together) and stitch down both sides to form the tab. Using your pinking sheers, trim both edges so they don't fray.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-v6ZxIKne2cPDmLHHduSxZuGrMelI61B7kzS_8_BfHh078mnUoNUjv7XWNCLL9MycMw9Ki4555eeinbSwkrbdYl74RBNlojwd9rktSryJE_NSvoan1u0Q5R4deqtW1A19nD1XHMd1lZVZ/s1600/cozie1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-v6ZxIKne2cPDmLHHduSxZuGrMelI61B7kzS_8_BfHh078mnUoNUjv7XWNCLL9MycMw9Ki4555eeinbSwkrbdYl74RBNlojwd9rktSryJE_NSvoan1u0Q5R4deqtW1A19nD1XHMd1lZVZ/s1600/cozie1.jpg" height="504" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
[3] To assemble the cozie, layer your fabric in the following order (see image below):</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
main fabric with heart facing up</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
tab with velcro facing up</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
main fabric (right side down) on top</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxOEPfm7HpNqWH-b3acFVrl-Nihzk_6tA7TqHCkIYQaYxYI8Y18oxPrmTJj1b2o9I8q3aerWF5RHiYTNZu3tKP7jzrzE3D1lMXokLcI5NXaP_wp7Kp9DF9JORerZ1uYwCuOiAr1fW33_cN/s1600/cozie2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxOEPfm7HpNqWH-b3acFVrl-Nihzk_6tA7TqHCkIYQaYxYI8Y18oxPrmTJj1b2o9I8q3aerWF5RHiYTNZu3tKP7jzrzE3D1lMXokLcI5NXaP_wp7Kp9DF9JORerZ1uYwCuOiAr1fW33_cN/s1600/cozie2.jpg" height="416" width="640" /></a></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Stitch both long sides and the short side of the cozie with the tab. Leave the other short side open. Use this open end to turn your cozie right side out. Iron cozie so that it lays flat, fold in the unstitched edge & top stitch around all 4 sides of the cozie to close it up.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
[4] Wrap your "almost finished" cozie around your mug and mark where your second piece of velcro needs to go. Stitch in place.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggWtx3VDuJQ7c6yE1jPuLkMmQfkbdEDNMCyMaChbz-vDtM-fxt0Ecbf9aa2KmAFJbiO1JkgnggJcU8ITiHspQANX5oiVOr6eHlMNhPMQh2r8yfa2qRzNvjyS6d0311wBwPPmAn6N9q8498/s1600/cozie3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggWtx3VDuJQ7c6yE1jPuLkMmQfkbdEDNMCyMaChbz-vDtM-fxt0Ecbf9aa2KmAFJbiO1JkgnggJcU8ITiHspQANX5oiVOr6eHlMNhPMQh2r8yfa2qRzNvjyS6d0311wBwPPmAn6N9q8498/s1600/cozie3.jpg" height="273" width="640" /></a></div>
<center style="text-align: center;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
Now that your mug cozie is finished you really only have one thing to decide:</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
coffee or tea?</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">

<center style="text-align: center;">

We're having our January "look for less" design challenge! (If you missed the last one - you can check it out <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/10/look-for-less-design-challenge.html" target="_blank">HERE</a>)<br />
<br />
The idea behind this challenge is to find a look you absolutely love but cost more than you're like to spend and then DIY it on a budget for much less than what you could buy it for. Since I am always looking for a bargain (and always DIYing something rather than buying it) this challenge is right up my alley!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">I got my inspiration for this bathtub caddy from none other than Anthroplogie (it's only my favorite store). The </span><a href="http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/home-bath/27863539.jsp">shower caddy from Anthropologie</a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"> cost $168. It's beautiful, rustic, has a little spot for a wine glass - absolutely perfect. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">The only thing not perfect for me was the price. Living on a budget makes you look at things differently. I looked at that beautiful shower caddy and thought "my husband could make me one of those!"... and so the project began.</span></center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">Since Adam is the carpenter in our family, he took this project on as his own. I helped along the way with drawings, dimensions, etc. </span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: x-large;">Here's how the process went:</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">1) I measured our new tub and came up with these basic dimensions. I knew I wanted it to be 4 boards wide (which put it around 11"-12") and the width from the wall to the edge of the tub was 29":</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaXOs5Fuisc0wHn8QfuNDbOpKHr5H7Ytb7HW7bLt0UloJYYpcqW8lFBRJBEtLk6vAGq6ZTghSLDGaD2U2BOYLsdH6RNmZ69ntuHyO_n-BtnIgR3pMZ1BQTX_fK8wOZ-gz6zuOxgcj0f6cf/s1600/bathtub+caddy_6.JPG" height="320" width="320" /><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdGWyKWuFzrMK8IwRkOPTRUmwF1ANV1MNEx9Zki7GOF-51dIuJM4WgOuIpi__Eq1PYz6-CzDLuv2lDgHeDibYvtha4hkzdxnb3KB3U3LmJWByuVsSyVW7IZ_7dxLfsqyidNQEOU1OeiSgB/s1600/bathtub+caddy_7.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8DM8IlfkNxApljAO82VIbl0aebzH8DbVgxbVhiwWJDIVR_nqjKPCEzYO8Goz-WkrUTq63aVvOZow6XR1IQsa1xmW82e8FuGI9B4jOuXhP_lUPeXoQlpFlUN7ly63LPeFS4X1UgBbyCYu9/s1600/tub+caddy_5.JPG" height="422" width="640" /></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">Doing the dimensions and drawings prior to any shopping gave us an idea of how much material we'd need to buy.
</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">2) Next, Adam ran to Lowe's to pick up the wood we needed. If you're making your own, here's a list of what you'll need:</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">shopping list</span></span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"> two 2x4s (or at least 10' of board)</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">one 1x2 for the "legs" (or at least 2' of board)</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">water-based polyurethane</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">foam brush for applying poly</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">wood screws</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">(We used poplar because it is inexpensive, easy to work with and matches other things in our bathroom.</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">You can use whatever type of wood you'd like - and stain it if you'd like a different look.)</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">3) After everything was purchased, it was time to cut the pieces down to size. Using his circular saw, Adam cut the 2x4s into 29" pieces (making sure the ends lined up perfectly). The 1x2 was cut into 2 pieces - both were 11" long.</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNe6BQp-NNUIX_0IOufOV6foVESRD8p6lk44WinC-Z31kmmfgGRmSDyekTktlRao0PoELz76m0pvaVZeEosXdrIzSztJlC4vvAaqiy4qaVWF_0-fYPuoFyTgfqMAA55YBHUHRNmkSeXTQZ/s1600/bathtub+caddy_8.JPG" height="320" width="320" /><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMO1KZckjLzmL6KME3OaFuBkFYf_aqXLe9bzr2SIFX72rdghx-IPMZ2X7jp_l3SxGJUNC7AsqgdrLEhQvlnA7ncMOSlZ0BnNMQpVX8kmdWFsjsmlWeb0DCy1hZbF9ZKWodZm4u11s9c5js/s1600/bathtub+caddy_9.JPG" height="320" width="320" /></div>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">4) Prior to assembly, everything was thoroughly sanded and coated 4-5 times with polyurethane to keep it safe from water. We did the poly before assembly because it would have been too hard to get into all the cracks afterward. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">Once everything had dried, Adam screwed the 1x2 pieces into the 2x4s to hold everything together.</span></center>

Something that has been on my "to do" list for a while were a pair of boot cuffs. I wear boots ALL winter and love to have cuffs & leg warmers underneath. I knew I could easily make some to add to my collection so I searched through my stash of yarn and got started. Who wants to make a pair??</center>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am a huge fan of small projects that can add a little fun to ordinary objects. Today I'll be sharing a few quick & easy ways to spruce up a couple of plain mason jars. Mason jars are so versatile that I find myself using them for everything. My newest obsession is candles. These floating candle holders are perfect for indoors or outdoors. You can use floating candles [like I did] or you could go one step further and fill your jars with scented wax & a wick for a true jar candle. Either way, you'll be left with a cute, functional way to brighten any occasion.</div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: x-large;">... what you'll need ...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgStjX8asecuMD7eIakheisEZiDQIcmbz_kG7vM9rldUqi3ZPQormdZDHMe1zBwbqPaf0LlFuSgXuP2dfAu_etg66OFu_0XMZ3EoE7kBUymce3pfiG_tSWUTVBTw7y_jLNlsLvonWoOdJM/s1600/masonjar1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="263" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgStjX8asecuMD7eIakheisEZiDQIcmbz_kG7vM9rldUqi3ZPQormdZDHMe1zBwbqPaf0LlFuSgXuP2dfAu_etg66OFu_0XMZ3EoE7kBUymce3pfiG_tSWUTVBTw7y_jLNlsLvonWoOdJM/s400/masonjar1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
mason jars</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
floating candles</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
burlap ribbon</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
yarn or cotton hemp</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
hot glue gun</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
other hemp, ribbons, etc.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: x-large;">... what I did ...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For Jar #1, I took an extra long piece of my blue cotton hemp (maybe 3-4 arm lengths) and started wrapping it around my narrow jar. Each time I wrapped it around I tied a basic knot and went back around the jar in the opposite direction. I wrapped & tied until I had a small band of hemp. I ended it at the top with a basic bow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I removed the metal (flat) lid, filled my jar with water & placed a small floating candle inside.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGmvUg4j5oJil32rxkIa1u44Ov-NqycwT5vYKXTrsMisrQ1dkTmIuoZuXv0XC-Ms5pPILRPUe0Ms-dpaq3hg5z644b6MPrtGeEt-MHj-5OlnOSsDEseltgPseLkA3wh-0iLZob5P4DX7A/s1600/masonjar2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGmvUg4j5oJil32rxkIa1u44Ov-NqycwT5vYKXTrsMisrQ1dkTmIuoZuXv0XC-Ms5pPILRPUe0Ms-dpaq3hg5z644b6MPrtGeEt-MHj-5OlnOSsDEseltgPseLkA3wh-0iLZob5P4DX7A/s640/masonjar2.jpg" style="cursor: move;" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">
For Jar #2, I wrapped my burlap ribbon around the jar twice & cut the length I needed. I marked a spot on the burlap at the "front" of the jar, slipped my burlap off and stamped a "B" with a rubber stamp. Using hot glue, I attached the burlap to the jar and finished it off with a hemp bow at the top.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: left;">
I also removed the metal (flat) lid on this jar, filled it with water & placed a small floating candle inside.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; text-align: center;">

These simple updates took me less than 15 minutes to complete, but they give my boring mason jars some fun flair. They'll be perfect for Summer cook outs - yes (despite the snow) I am already dreaming of Summer!</div>

The whole point of Treat Week was to show you some cute, yet super simple, ideas for holiday gifts. My friend Lindsay, my mom and I made all of these treats last Sunday when we were assembling baskets for some of our clients at work. We figured the <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/12/marshmallow-pops.html" target="_blank">marshmallow pops</a>, <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/12/homemade-chai-mix.html" target="_blank">chai latte</a>, <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/12/white-chocolate-pistachio-dried.html" target="_blank">pistachio & cranberry bark</a> & <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/12/christmas-chow.html" target="_blank">christmas chow</a> would please a variety of people and would also look pretty assembled into a gift basket.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On top of all those goodies, we made reindeer cookies! Want to make your own?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Reindeer Cookie Directions</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Simply bake or buy sugar cookies (we bought pre-made dough) and decorate by piping antlers using melted chocolate. Use a little chocolate to secure an M&M nose and 2 mini chocolate chip eyes. You can't go wrong with sugar cookies and the extra decorations make them very festive.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here is my largest basket with all of the goodies assembled. I threw in some napkins, a few other store bought & homemade treats and a granite cutting board with cheese knife (we are in the flooring & granite business) and my basket was complete.</div>

<br />
This is probably my FAVORITE treat that I've shared so far for Treat Week... Christmas Chow! Yes, It is your standard and beloved <a href="http://www.chexpartymix.com/recipes/muddy-buddies-chex-mix/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=chex+party+mix&utm_term=puppy%20chow" target="_blank">Puppy Chow recipe</a> (AKA Muddy Buddies) with a cute name spin for the holidays. This stuff is like crack. Seriously. Once you start eating it it's hard to stop. Chocolate...peanut butter...powdered sugar...yum!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Chex "Christmas Chow" Ingredients</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
9 cups rice chex cereal</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1/4 cup butter or margarine</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 tsp vanilla</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Directions</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Measure out Chex cereal and put into large bowl. Set aside.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In microwave, melt together the chocolate chips, peanut butter & margarine until smooth and well combined (30 second increments). Stir in vanilla.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Pour chocolately peanut buttery mixture over cereal and coat well. Move Chex into a large ziplock bag. Add powdered sugar and shake until well coated and dispersed. Spread on waxed paper to cool.</div>
<br />

<br />
Now that your Christmas Chow is made, what are you going to put it in? I was giving this chow as a gift so I wrapped some left over Slim Fast containers I had saved with some Faux Bois wrapping paper that I've been hoarding. I also created this fun little <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2be5YBeE-wWeGxIRHhUYklkYVU/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank">printable</a>! The printable is for the Avery 2.5" round labels.<br />

<a href="http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/desserts/pistachio-cranberry-white-chocolate-bark/" target="_blank">This delicious recipe</a> was one that was recommended to me by my cousin Erin. She saw it last year around the holidays and thought it was so pretty. Neither one of us got around to make it last year so it was on my list of treats to make this year. The concept & ingredients are super simple.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<br /></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Ingredients:</span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
1 lb. of white chocolate</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
1/2 cup shelled pistachios</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
1/2 cup dried cranberries</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">How to make:</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Over a double boiler, melt your chocolate until it is nice and smooth. Set a side for a few minutes to cool. Once slightly cooled, mix in the pistachios & cranberries. Spread chocolate mixture onto a pan prepared with parchment paper. Smooth chocolate mixture into a thin, even layer. The recipe I saw didn't call for this but I sprinkled a few extra pistachios & cranberries onto the top of my chocolate to add more color. Allow the bark to cool for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator before breaking into pieces.</center>

Treat Week continues with this sweet & spicy holiday "how to"... (if you missed yesterday's post, you can check it out <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/12/marshmallow-pops.html" target="_blank">here</a>).</center>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When the temperature drops and it begins to snow, I immediately turn to my hot tea. Chai tea to be exact. It makes me feel so warm and fuzzy on the inside. I love how it smells. When I stumbled across <a href="http://nadinesnook.blogspot.com/2011/11/chai-tea-mix.html" target="_blank">this recipe</a> for homemade chai tea mix, I knew I had to try it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
To package the chai tea mix for gifts I simply bought a few ball jars at Target & printed out my own homemade labels using the 2.5" round Avery kraft paper labels. They are the best. </center>

I'm calling this TREAT WEEK! This is post 1 of 4 of delicious and easy holiday treats.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivGV2qwSZysmpxZaRKzsGqNb8-ni_gpFJ1Y_sZiH94sJ2lQRwrr8lhUBUmT5c9MxGwc57Iw5uCiVufmAGT3K8vtsWlK7bSG_VaG5Lp8gD66JwChvMTT-_I8e5w9pMTpgSODrs0SARnJL9z/s1600/marshmallows2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivGV2qwSZysmpxZaRKzsGqNb8-ni_gpFJ1Y_sZiH94sJ2lQRwrr8lhUBUmT5c9MxGwc57Iw5uCiVufmAGT3K8vtsWlK7bSG_VaG5Lp8gD66JwChvMTT-_I8e5w9pMTpgSODrs0SARnJL9z/s640/marshmallows2.jpg" width="422" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You know those holiday treats that look easier to make than they really are??? These are not one of those treats. These babies are super easy & fun to make - and bonus... they are adorable! </div>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
The process is simple:</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQMCeZCFD_D5x8UQR7W7Cfh4wLenZ_fjeXDNbOVwsmtloDSey7kFz9i4NYO8_cxEZuiILhJWWVYk9LT2HW4eYFBVyJz-E9wZWo4FeGgWzJPeOZMWS9bbcJMAsBmmVUjlWNN92fJDodCt6w/s320/marshmallows3.JPG" width="240" /><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeHgW1SUWOXpngWUOZ7pT_3SazsBDlPpahlxnisLN6OiEaCrIGQy8yeMChdYpQik0zEixBc-5KyE18eWp8Wpt0PeXy4oSvlyeFWKi9a1MRcoES9qUR06bwnyS-XVwy81egzWonC8x0mAL5/s320/marshmallows4.JPG" width="240" /></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Slip 2 or 3 marshmallows onto a lollipop stick. Dip 2/3 of the way into a melted crock pot of chocolate of your choice (I like dark chocolate best). Push the base of the stick into a piece of floral or craft foam so your marshmallow pops can dry upright. After about 30 seconds, sprinkle each pop with crushed candy canes. Allow to dry for about an hour before packaging.</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
Simple, right? Enjoy!</center>

<i>[this post is sponsored by Tiny Prints. All opinions are my own]</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So... I've spent the past <strike>4 hours</strike> few minutes thinking about our annual Christmas card. December really snuck up on me so I need to make a decision on holiday cards... and quick!! I should have had them in the mail days ago...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Luckily, <a href="http://www.tinyprints.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Tiny Prints</a> has THE cutest layouts, designs & card shapes. I think I browsed through all 701 of their "<a href="http://www.tinyprints.com/shop/holiday-cards.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">holiday card</a>" options before mocking up these 3 options below (pssst...they also have a wide variety of <a href="http://www.tinyprints.com/shop/picture-christmas-cards.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">christmas cards</a>, <a href="http://www.tinyprints.com/shop/holiday_party_invitations.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">holiday party invites</a> & <a href="http://www.tinyprints.com/personalized-photo-gifts-center.htm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">gifts</a>).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My favorite thing about Tiny Prints is that their program is so easy to use. You simply select the style you like, upload your picture(s), personalize your shape & colors and you're ready to order. They also have adorable customizable envelopes to make your cards even more fun.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Please help me select which one of these cards I should send out this year by taking the poll below. It just takes one click. After you're done voting, head on over to <a href="http://www.tinyprints.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Tiny Prints</a> to start customizing your own holiday cards. </div>

I love him. He has to be one of the cutest monsters I've ever made from one of <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/dangercrafts" target="_blank">Danger Craft's</a> patterns. If you haven't checked out here Etsy site, go there now. Seriously... She has oodles of adorbale monster & toy knitting patterns. Cecil is one of the patterns she offers from <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/65230290/the-big-book-of-knitted-monsters-signed?ref=shop_home_feat" target="_blank">her first book</a>. The book is filled with lots of adorable creatures to create.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I was contacted to be part of a "Look for Less" design challenge with some other amazing bloggers, I jumped at the opportunity. The idea behind this challenge was to find a look I loved but was too expensive for my taste or budget, then DIY it myself for less. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">When I stumbled across <a href="http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/home-tabletop-dinnerware/27735315.jsp" target="_blank">these adorable linen coasters</a> on the Anthropologie website, I was immediately smitten. I am a firm believer that you can never have too many coasters around. Even though I do shop at Anthropologie for unique home decor items, I couldn't justify spending money on something I knew I could make. My coasters turned out to be free since I had all of the materials on hand from other projects. <i>If you were to buy the linen & embroidery thread to complete this project you'd probably spend around $5.00 - $7.00.</i></span></center>

<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">STEP [1]</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">Cut out 8 - 5"x5" linen pieces (2 pieces per coaster). With a pencil & ruler, doodle your tee-pee design on your linen. I didn't worry about making each tee-pee identical. </span></center>

<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">STEP [2]</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">Cut out 4 - 5"x5" pieces of fusible felt (1 piece for each coaster). Iron the felt to the back of the 4 pieces of linen that have tee-pees drawn on them. The felt will help stabilize your stitching and give your coasters some loft.</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">

<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;"><br /></span></center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">STEP [3]</span></center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse;">With your needle & embroidery thread, begin stitching the outline of the tee-pee. Once the outline is complete, fill in the center of the tee-pee with diagonal stitches across the design.</span></center>

<center>
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: center;">
STEP [4]</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
With the extra 4 pieces of linen, sew the right sides of your coasters together (your felt should be facing out) leaving a small space to turn your coaster right side out. Press flat & top stitch about 1/8" in around the entire coaster to close the space used to turn your coaster. Ta-da! You've completed your first coaster. Repeat all steps for the remaining 3 coasters.</center>

My cousin got married a few weekends ago and my aunt put on one of the best rehearsal dinners I have ever been to. It was so well thought out and perfectly decorated. I thought I'd share some of these handmade decorations since they would work for more than just a rehearsal dinner. They could be the perfect decoration for your fall table, Thanksgiving dinner place settings and much more. Enjoy :)</center>

It's flu season!</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
</center>
<center style="text-align: left;">
No... I'm not excited, but I am preparing my card stash for it. I saw this adorable <a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/198228821071774889/" target="_blank">"caught a bug" card</a> on Pinterest the other day and I knew I had to recreate it for myself. </center>

<center style="text-align: left;">
Since I have a decent stash of rubber stamps, this took me all of 5 minutes to create. I stamped a mason jar & bug on some card stock, layered it onto a bright green piece of card stock, stamped on "caught a bug?" and adhered it to a blank card. This could easily be recreated by sketching it by hand.</center>

As an interior designer, and a girl who LOVES a good deal, I have always been a big fan of <a href="http://www.wayfair.com/" target="_blank">Wayfair.com</a>. It is like one big "eye candy" store! So many different colors, styles & textures in every type of furniture and decor you can think of. The other day, Wayfair's managing editor, Catie Parrish, shared a post about the <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2013/10/guest-post-4-things-to-consider-before.html" target="_blank">4 Things To Consider Before Your Next Big Area Rug Purchase</a>. Just for fun I put together a concept board for our master bedroom (a room in my house that is in desperate need of a makeover). Yellow is one of my favorite colors and I am absolutely smitten with that area rug!</center>

it—busting out that tape measure before you purchase a rug is an absolute must.
Carefully evaluate the space where you want to place the rug and consider how
it will fit with other items in the room. Take a look at what furniture will be
on the rug as well as ho<a href="http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=8131204995274618380" name="_GoBack"></a>w other furniture will look
positioned next to it. If you have a clear vision of exactly where the rug will
be placed before you purchase, it will ensure the best possible look and
usability of the rug in your space. For the best look, choose a rug that’s
large enough so that all the legs (or at least the front legs) of your major
furniture pieces will sit on the rug.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

when considering the material and price of a rug. If it will be placed in a
high-traffic area or room, then splurging on handmade, 100% wool will offer the
best results. Rugs made from less expensive synthetic fibers won’t last as
long, but can be useful in a quieter space as a trendy statement piece or
accent. As far as investment rugs go, handmade woven or knotted rugs offer
unparalleled craftsmanship that will last a lifetime and are worth the money. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

investment in a rug, it can be scary to decide on colors and style. Oriental-style
rugs often incorporate a variety of colors, which are ideal for matching all

work well with it before you buy. Select a rug color that truly aligns with
your personal décor style, and then you can be sure it will fit whatever you

Even though I started knitting at the age of 8 (and learned to crochet about a year ago) I have never made anything bigger than a scarf. When I found out that my cousin, Janet, was pregnant with a little boy (due in November) I thought it was time I tried my hand at crocheting a baby blanket.<br />

I started by scouring <a href="http://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=striped%20baby%20blanket" target="_blank">Pinterest for baby blanket ideas</a> and fell in love with many of the styles that involved stripes. I ran to Michael's to pick up some yarn to get started.</center>

Many of us have small rooms that we have to live in and deal with on a day to day basis. This means that most of us, with more meagerly proportioned rooms, are left wondering how on earth we can make the best of our tiny rooms.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit; line-height: 115%;">Good choice and use of furniture is key in any small room – more so, in my opinion, than in a larger room. Choose furniture that precisely fits into place, whether it is a table under the window, a bookcase across the narrowest wall or even a storage unit fitted along the longest wall. While these bigger than expected pieces of furniture may take up a reasonable amount of room, they more than make up for it by optimizing the storage space available in the room – which frees up the rest of the room, making it seem that little bit bigger! </span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Fall is all around (even though it has been 80 degrees in PA all week). One of my favorite fall decorations is this cozy sweater vase. I have a number of generic, glass vases sitting around my house so I decided to spruce one up for Fall.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
... here's how I did it ...</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I started by disassembling a sweater I picked up from The Salvation Army. I had originally gotten it to make these <a href="http://sewingbarefoot.blogspot.com/2012/10/sweater-pumpkins.html" target="_blank">sweater pumpkins</a> but had plenty left over for other projects. For this, I used a section of sleeve and slid it on over my vase.</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<a href="http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/?action=view&current=sweatervase1.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="200" src="http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/sweatervase1.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/?action=view&current=sweatervase2.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="200" src="http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/sweatervase2.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/?action=view&current=sweatervase3.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="200" src="http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/sweatervase3.jpg" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
To cover the raw edge at the top, I simply made a linen "ribbon" by cutting a piece of fabric to the length I needed, sewed it together, turned it right side out and top stitched it to finish it off. After trimming off my loose threads, I tied it nicely around the top of my vase.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<a href="http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/?action=view&current=sweatervase4.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="200" src="http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/sweatervase4.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/?action=view&current=sweatervase5.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="200" src="http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/sweatervase5.jpg" width="200" /></a><a href="http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/?action=view&current=sweatervase6.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="Photobucket" border="0" height="200" src="http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r599/barefootshannon1/sweatervase6.jpg" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used a glue dot to keep the "knot" secured to the glass, however the rest of the sweater just fits snug enough around the vase to stay put. I decorated my finished vase with our wedding flowers we had left over (we used all artificial and I love having them around the house). This inexpensive, simple spruce up was perfect for turning my "blah" vase into a fun, centerpiece. </div>

The other day, my Pappy took a little spill and broke his elbow... :( Poor guy. One our way into the hospital to visit him after surgery, I assembled a little "boo-quet." This "boo-quet" consisted of a house plant, a little sign & marshmallow ghosts on wood skewers.</center>

<center style="text-align: center;">
This little gift put a smile on his face :)... which made me happy!</center>
