I hope your weekend was filled with fun, family and food like mine was. This weekend, my mom and brother were in town from Washington State. It's been nice to be able to spend a few days with them (considering the next time I'll see my mom is in October...). My brother will be moving to Bethesda in June so he'll be a short car ride away! We have a visit from my dad to look forward to in a few weeks so I'm a happy girl right now :)

So sorry the party is up late! We had a busy weekend celebrating Adam's birthday on Saturday. Today we spent the day with my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece & nephew. It was a beautiful day to do absolutely nothing :) I can't wait to see what projects you have up your sleeves... I'm slowly getting back into a crafty mode after being in a slump for a few weeks.

Welcome to week #27 of The Weekly Creative!
Happy Easter! I hope everyone is spending the day relaxing with friends and family. We had "lunch" at my sister-in-laws with my husband's side of the family and now a "Pinterest Dinner" with my side of the family at my aunt and uncle's house. Everyone brought a recipe from Pinterest that they've been wanting to try! I was responsible for and appetizer so I made this delicious spinach and artichoke dip and these crispy edamame. Yum!
Now...onto this week's party.
I had a crazy busy week so I won't be doing features today. Sorry! I'll be back to a regular link party next week... I promise :)

Welcome to week #25 of The Weekly Creative!
Happy St. Patty's Day! It's funny... Our weekend was filled of getting rid of green. We spent Saturday painting our basement. When we bought the house, there was SO MUCH GREEN! It wasn't really a nice green... although, maybe it was and we just hated it because of overload. This is what the basement looked like when we bought it and how it looks now:

Adam put in recessed lighting and the walls have a fresh coat of light, neutral paint. He also fixed up the basement down there (I'll have to post pictures of that at a later time). We still have lots to do but it's coming along. Soon it'll be a really liveable space!

Welcome to week #24 of The Weekly Creative!
Yesterday, Adam and I took a day trip to Philadelphia. We did some shopping at a store called Dwelling (in Manayunk) then spent a bunch of time at the West Elm in downtown Philly. They are the type of stores that I could have grabbed my toothbrush and moved right in... they are completely our style. We went in search of a couch and we're 99.9% sure we found the one we want. Welcome to week #23 of The Weekly Creative!
This week was so exciting :) I WON my very first giveaway... these ADORABLE monthly bibs made by Darlene at My Honey Bunch. I was going to give them to a friend, but I think I'll stash them away for when we have kids. They are too cute not to hang on to for myself!!

Secondly, I actually got to meet Darlene! She and I have been emailing since September (after somehow figuring out we were both PA bloggers). We've been trying to figure out a time to get together so we drug our husband along to lunch today so she could hand deliver the bibs I won. We had a great time chatting about blogging, DIY and life. The guys seemed to have a good time too.

We spent this weekend at my family's cabin relaxing. It was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of busy life. I finished my infinity cowl (from the CAL hosted by One Dog Woof) and spent some much needed time away with family.
