::inexpensive:: gift wrapping

I love DIY projects that are cheap inexpensive. I realize that my hobby could get out of control expensive and I try to keep my project costs low. I'm the same with a lot of things in life, so I thought I'd share a cute, inexpensive way to spruce up your gift wrapping.

Now, I am no expert... I actually have a hard time wrapping anything that isn't square, so when it came to these oval gifts for my sister-in-law's baby shower, I did my best to "wrap pretty". To disguise my mediocre wrap job, I decided to add some decorations to my package.

Since I've been on a paint swatch kick, I figured...why stop now? If the paint swatch notebooks aren't your cup of tea, maybe you'll like this project better for using up your leftover paint swatches.

Paint swatches

transfer carbon paper

hole punch

ball point pen

piece of ribbon or hemp

design of your choice

I have a lot of paint swatches around (from numerous projects) and I decided that I either needed to 1) throw them away or 2) do something with them. So of course... I found a something to do with them. I saw these little paint swatch note books and thought they were a fun, functional idea.

cutting mat
