christmas chow

This is probably my FAVORITE treat that I've shared so far for Treat Week... Christmas Chow! Yes, It is your standard and beloved Puppy Chow recipe (AKA Muddy Buddies) with a cute name spin for the holidays. This stuff is like crack. Seriously. Once you start eating it it's hard to stop. Chocolate...peanut butter...powdered sugar...yum!

Chex "Christmas Chow" Ingredients

9 cups rice chex cereal
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions

Measure out Chex cereal and put into large bowl. Set aside.

In microwave, melt together the chocolate chips, peanut butter & margarine until smooth and well combined (30 second increments). Stir in vanilla.

Pour chocolately peanut buttery mixture over cereal and coat well. Move Chex into a large ziplock bag. Add powdered sugar and shake until well coated and dispersed.  Spread on waxed paper to cool.

Now that your Christmas Chow is made, what are you going to put it in? I was giving this chow as a gift so I wrapped some left over Slim Fast containers I had saved with some Faux Bois wrapping paper that I've been hoarding. I also created this fun little printable! The printable is for the Avery 2.5" round labels.

"caught a bug?" card

It's flu season!
No... I'm not excited, but I am preparing my card stash for it. I saw this adorable "caught a bug" card on Pinterest the other day and I knew I had to recreate it for myself.

INSPIRATION                                    CARD FOR MY STASH

Since I have a decent stash of rubber stamps, this took me all of 5 minutes to create. I stamped a mason jar & bug on some card stock, layered it onto a bright green piece of card stock, stamped on "caught a bug?" and adhered it to a blank card. This could easily be recreated by sketching it by hand.
I now have a few "caught a bug" cards to add to my yearly card binder

what "to do"...what "to do"

I make lists.

If it's in my head...I usually need to get it down on paper something before I forget it. I'm guilty of even writing "make a list" on my to-do list, just so I have something to cross off when I'm done. I know...I'm a loser amazing! I constantly have lists going on my phone, on a scrap of paper at work, or even on a paper plate... (we went through a few "paper plate to do lists" when we first bought the house).

Lately, I've thought it would be nice to have my own personalized "to-do" list that I could print out, write all over, and then throw away when I'm done with it.

Of course, I couldn't find anything that I really liked so I had to make my own.

Here is what I came up with:
